It’s too far!  I just got my head around the idea of camping with three littlies and thinking I could possibly do it, knowing that many of the lovely people from the Early Years HE list would be there, and also from the Early Years HE blogring and then I did a route finder on RAC.  I just don’t think I have it in me to drive for 5.5hours, then camp with two young children and a baby, then drive 5.5hours again.  I’m really disappointed.  Maybe I’ll just have to organise my own camp over our side of the country!  Who’ll join me?  ;-)

I didn’t do it with three littlies, but I did hesfes with two, which was a decent hike from here (yup, 5 1/2 hours apparently). Think Merry had three at that point (oh, and 4 next year when we went again), but didn’t have quite the same drive.

It can be done, and there might even be ppl you can break the trip with on the way, so if you want to do it, don’t give up yet.

We will!! If we fence off the horses again for a bit, (actually I think this has just been done), perhaps we could do what we did two years ago, and camp in the top field….It was lovely, particularly as you could run into house for anything you reallyi needed!.

Where is the Muddle Puddle camp this year? I haven’t checked it out yet?

    Love Cxx

It is a very long way. Takes us 6.5hrs from here, and the drive is all horrible roads too - so I quite empathise. I’ve been to Melrose which is in Scotland so much further, but actually takes less time, at least it’s an easy motorway drive!

Having said that I hope you will come, it is worth it once you get there!

    We’ll join you :)
I’m still deciding if we will be able to make Kessingland this year. We have an important family thing to go to on the 23rd, so will be late even if we do decide to go.

I don’t really fancy camping with a young baby again either. I think we might give it a miss this year.

It’s ok once the tent’s up, but getting to that point is the problem!
